Speaking of festivals, one of July's highlights is the Tanabata festival, held on the evening of the seventh day. The "Star Festival" ("Hoshimatsuri"/"星祭り") celebrates the only day of the year when the two deities "Orihime" and "Hikoboshi" can meet since they are separated by the Milky Way for the rest of the year.
